My religious views are basically those of the Ignostics, which many folks would say puts me in the camp of the athiests. I’m not sure thats a wise choice, as I wouldn’t claim that God does not exist. I would say its technically more precise to say its a form of agnosticism, but with the unknown being more related to the meaning of the question of God’s existence, than to the unknowablness of the answer.

I once summed up my beliefs as follows:

“Questions about the nature of God are unanswerable because they are fundamentally meaningless. This does not imply that there is or is not a God. Personal “salvation” is an equally meaningless concept, as it involves a relationship with the unknowable. Relationships with ones fellow human’s, animals, plants and the environment are a different matter as they are both manifest and knowable. If one wants to change their relationship with the world, in whole or in part, one need ‘merely’ change their behaviour with respect to it. The remaining 99% of life is in figuring out whats good for you, as opposed to what you want, so that you may behave accordingly”
